Cheap enough of an upgrade, but you get what you pay for

So, I'd say that this product is about exactly what you'd expect from a ~$100 dropper- it drops and raises as expected and was out of the box amazing. The issues started appearing after ~300 miles of pretty heavy usage (lots of ups and downs in actuation), there was some sticky-ness to the raising that a thin layer of fork oil around the seal helped intermittently with, but then there started to develop lateral play of more than the standard few mm. It's still just a nuisance, but I can tell it's getting ever so slightly worse with every ride so I've been trying to track down whether the post is at all service-able, and to no avail so far. I think the going stance is that for this cheap you just toss it and buy a new one, which sadly speaks to our current state of a disposable economy.
