The Vigilante is built from the ground up to improve cornering traction and speed stability, making it an exceptional front-focused mountain bike tire.

• Prominent Lugs: Aggressive, square-lugged knobs punch deep into the terrain—wet or dry—to provide unwavering traction. Consistent spacing between knobs ensures stability and rapid mud/debris evacuation on loose, chunky trails.

• Reinforced Side Knobs: Tall outer knobs feature an elevated base that prevents them from folding under intense, shamelessly forceful cornering. Perpendicular siping enhances braking control and lateral grip when leaning into turns.

• Front-Focused Optimization: The entire design is centered on maximizing cornering performance as a front tire. For optimal balanced handling, we suggest pairing the Vigilante 2.3 with a Trail Boss 2.25 on the rear.

• TCS Tubeless-Ready: TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless rim/tire system. TCS dramatically reduces the chance of flats and allows riders to run lower tire pressures for improved grip, comfort, and traction.

• Multi-Compound Rubber (TriTec): Three distinct rubber compounds provide optimal levels of support, traction, and durability. Different durometers in the base, center, and side knobs allow us to fine-tune performance and increase rider confidence.

• Casing Options:

  • Lightweight Casing: A supple, single-layer casing that conforms exceptionally well to the terrain for maximum performance and low rotational weight.

  • Tough/Dual Casing: Two full layers of casing wrap the tire from bead to bead, providing the ultimate level of puncture protection and critical sidewall support for aggressive riding.

• SG2 Puncture Defense: Available on select models, SG2 provides an uninterrupted layer of nylon puncture protection spanning from one bead to the other, defending against sharp rocks and debris.

• E25 E-Bike Rated: Specifically formulated E25 constructions use additional materials to strengthen the tire, increase puncture resistance, and provide better support under the heavy loads of modern e-bikes.
