Next-Level Safety and Construction

The Montaro II W offers best-in-class protection by minimizing rotational forces and maximizing structural integrity without increasing weight.

• Integrated Mips® Brain Protection System

  • All Giro helmets are engineered to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards.

  • This integrated system is specifically designed to reduce rotational forces that may be transferred to the rider's brain during certain angled impacts.

  • The integration of the Mips slip plane with the fit system enhances overall fit and comfort.

• Hardshell with In-Mold Hardbody™ Lower Wrap

  • The construction features a compact shape and deep coverage.

  • A tough outer polycarbonate shell is permanently fused to the EPS foam liner using our In-Mold construction, ensuring durability without excess weight.

• Roll Cage™ Reinforcement

  • A lightweight, tough web of reinforcement invisibly molded inside the helmet's EPS foam liner.

  • This feature helps the helmet hold together under impact, providing an extra measure of strength and integrity when you need it most.

Optimized Fit and Comfort Systems

Experience superior airflow, stability, and personalized comfort on long rides.

• Roc Loc® 5 Air Mips Fit System

  • This revolutionary fit system enhances both stability and cooling performance.

  • A patented design slightly suspends the helmet off the head, allowing cool airflow to pass directly over the skull, further improving the efficiency of the internal channeling.

  • The micro-adjustable dial allows for easy custom tuning of fit tension and vertical tilt with a single hand.

• Ventilation and Cooling

  • The helmet is outfitted with 16 vents and internal channeling to maintain exceptional airflow, keeping you cool and comfortable on hot climbs.

• IONIC+® Padding

  • Pure silver is the core ingredient, providing natural, permanent antimicrobial odor protection to keep the helmet fabric fresh.

Trail-Ready Features and Design

The Montaro II W includes necessary components for a seamless, distraction-free riding experience with goggles and accessories.

  • The visor features an adjustment mechanism that lets you move it up and down in indexed steps.
