Giro Syntax MIPS Bicycle Helmets

Road cycling helmet with Mips® protection and adjustable airflow

The Giro Syntax Mips is a slim-profile road cycling helmet that combines a lightweight in-mold shell, Mips® rotational impact protection, and the Roc Loc™ 5 Air Mips fit system for a secure, adjustable fit and improved ventilation.

Best for

• Road cyclists looking for a slim-profile helmet with extended coverage.
• Riders who want adjustable fit tension and helmet positioning.
• Cyclists who prioritize ventilation during longer rides.
• Riders looking for a helmet with Mips® technology designed to reduce rotational forces in certain impacts.

Not ideal for

• Riders looking for a full-face or downhill-specific helmet.
• Users who prefer a helmet without an integrated fit adjustment system.

What this product does

The Syntax Mips provides head protection for road cycling through an EPS foam liner and a durable shell construction. Its Integrated Mips® Brain Protection System is designed to help reduce rotational forces that may be transferred to the brain during certain angled impacts.

The Roc Loc™ 5 Air Mips system suspends the helmet slightly above the head to help airflow pass across the scalp. Its adjustment mechanism allows riders to fine-tune fit tension and front-to-back tilt, while the Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system directs cool air through internal channels and expels heat.

Compatibility

• Activity: Road cycling.
• Fit system: Roc Loc™ 5 Air Mips.
• Protection technology: Integrated Mips® Brain Protection System.

Key benefits

• Rotational impact protection: Mips® technology is designed to help reduce rotational forces during certain impacts.
• Secure, customizable fit: Roc Loc™ 5 Air Mips allows fit tension and fore-aft tilt adjustments using one hand.
• Improved airflow: The fit system creates space for airflow over the head, working with the helmet's vents and internal channels.
• Wind Tunnel™ ventilation: Active shell vents and internal exhaust channels help draw cool air in and release heat.
• Durable shell construction: The polycarbonate shell and EPS liner are permanently fused through in-mold construction to provide durability without excess bulk.
• Lower-shell reinforcement: The two-piece shell includes a Hardbody™ lower wrap for additional durability.
• Odor protection: IONIC+® padding uses pure silver to provide permanent odor protection.
• Slim profile: The design combines a streamlined appearance with slightly deeper coverage.
