Alpinestars Tech-Air Off-Road Motorcycle Protection

Tech-Air® Off-Road is a FIM homologated Airbag System designed specifically to handle the rigors of Rally riding and provide unrivalled upper body protection. Developed and tested since 2017, in the most grueling conditions of the Dakar Rally, the world’s toughest off-road race, the Tech-Air® Off-Road System offers the most advanced active airbag technology for off-road riding. The Tech-Air® Off-Road System, with the active airbag inflated, delivers CE Level 1 full Chest and full Back protection, plus coverage to the shoulders, neck, and collarbones in the event of a crash. The System is integrated with an Alpinestars Off-Road Protection Jacket that is equipped with a Level 1 passive full back and limb protection, integrated protection on the arms and a CE Level 2 passive full chest protector to offering riders enhanced roost protection against rocks, debris, and other obstacles they may come into contact with on the trail. Built tough enough to tackle any terrain, the System comes pre-loaded with three Riding Modes; ENDURO, RALLY, and STREET, making it the perfect choice for every type of off-road and street riding.

  • The world’s first dedicated off-road Airbag System, Tech-Air® Off-Road comes with 3 Riding Modes; ENDURO, RALLY, AND STREET.
  • Riding Modes are easy to navigate while on the move via the LED Display located on the front of the System, or via the Tech-Air® App.
  • The Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System features dual charge capability which means that with two full gas inflators, the System provides two separate airbag deployments, since only one gas inflator will deploy to inflate the entire Airbag System during a crash scenario.
  • Quick release cover opening allows for rapid gas inflator replacement by user, only available in countries where gas inflator replacement by individuals is permitted by local regulations.
  • A fully self-contained, standalone system; 3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope) are integrated in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to provide the best crash monitoring performance and active airbag protection in a variety of dynamic off-road riding scenarios. No external sensors are required for the system to operate.
  • The Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System uses an integrated, certified lithium-ion battery, with a fully charged battery life of 30 hours and a recharge time of approximately 4 hours; charging the battery for approximately 1 hour will provide approximately 8 hours of riding time use.
  • The LED Display features an integrated charging port for convenient and easy charging of the System; simply plug in the USB-C cable into the Recharge Port on the System’s LED Display and connect it to a power source.
  • Ease of use; to turn on the Tech-Air® Off-Road System, simply zip up the System and it will automatically turn on and activate the Airbag System. To deactivate the airbag, unzip the System and it will automatically turn off.
  • A dedicated Shipping Mode slide switch is located on the ECU, which when turned on effectively puts the the System into sleep mode. Only accessible once the Electronic Case on the back protector is removed, the Shipping Mode switch allows the battery to be disconnected from the System during transportation or when the System will not be in use for a prolonged period of time. The System is sold with the Shipping Mode turned on, make sure to turn the Shipping Mode off when you open the box and use the Airbag System for the first time.
  • The Tech-Air® Off-Road System’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and airbag are completely removable so that the Protection Jacket can be washed separately.

  • Proven to be more than twice as protective as passive impact protectors.
  • Dual gas inflators deliver two airbag deployments for guaranteed protection.
  • Average inflation time of 52 milliseconds (depending on the size of the airbag).
  • Airbag coverage on chest, back, shoulders, and neck provides upper body protection.
  • Neck protection is provided by the airbag inflating around the neck in compliance with the FIM regulations.
  • The airbag has been fully certified for up to 4 airbag deployments before having to replace it, providing the airbag hasn’t been damaged in one of the first 3 deployments.
  • Performance tested according to DOLOMITICERT S.c.a.r.l. M.16.03.001.1 Protocol for Airbag Protectors Rev. 5 5/07/2022 on ENDURO, RALLY, and STREET algorithms.
  • Performance tested according to DOLOMITICERT’s Technical Disciplinary for Inflatable Protectors with Electronic Activation Revision 5 dated 13 October 2023.
  • IMPORTANT: neck protectors are NOT compatible with Airbag Systems, accordingly the Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System is NOT compatible with the use of Alpinestars’ Bionic Neck Support (BNS) nor any other neck protections.
  • Premium materials combined with an innovative design and honeycomb Nucleon Cell technology create a passive protector that is highly ventilated, lightweight, ergonomic, and robust.
  • Constructed from a breathable stretch mesh for superior ventilation while keeping the protection close to the rider’s body, the protective garment is CE certified Class C under garment.
  • Slim fit stretchable fabric construction features a floating, highly ventilated, and flexible thermoformed chest protector for an optimal riding experience.
  • Both the chest and back protectors incorporate new Nucleon CELL Technology which is light, flexible and highly ventilated for enhanced performance.
  • The Protection Jacket’s passive Chest protector is certified to CE Level 2, while the Back, Elbow and Shoulder protectors are certified to CE Level 1, providing additional protection against impacts in key areas; elbows and shoulders protectors are replaceable.
  • Lateral zipper for a better fit and ease of use, and which allows the jacket to provide complete front chest protection.
  • Ergonomic design delivers exceptional rider comfort and freedom of movement.
  • Additional front padding on the arms and chest for enhanced roost protection.
  • Water bladder compatible: back holder for a Hydration pack with 1.5-3 Liter capacity already included.

Shipment processing time:

All orders are processed within one to two business days. Orders with Economy shipping methods (5-8 business days) may take up to 5 business days to ship. Please plan accordingly.

Please be advised that we are not responsible for delays beyond our control including, but not limited to, carrier issues, weather phenomena, acts of terror, riots, etc. As such, these delays are not counted towards our shipment estimates. Cancellations while a shipment is en-route during these events are possible, but will incur a fee charged by the carrier which will be deducted from any refund, replacement, or exchange. Additionally, we are not responsible for shipments delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided by the customer. Please ensure all shipping details are accurate at checkout. Any additional shipping fees resulting from such errors will be the responsibility of the customer.

All orders placed before 4:00 PM EST (Mon-Fri) will be processed the same day, orders after 4:00 PM EST and or weekends will be processed the following business day.

Besides our own Fulfillment Centers located in Miami, FL, and Amazon's Fulfillment Network, we have partnered with several distributors and manufacturers all across the US to deliver your order faster. Estimated transit time is calculated based on your shipping address and where the product is shipping from. Most orders are delivered within 2 to 5 business days.

Freight
Freight Shipping will be charged for products that cannot be shipped via regular parcel (USPS, UPS & FedEx) due to weight restrictions or dimensions. If we are required to ship Freight, shipping will be charged to the customer and it is not refundable.

Shipping Methods:

Ground Shipping (2 to 5 business days)
We ship orders via FedEx Ground. The estimated transit time is calculated and shown at checkout and transit time varies depending on shipping & delivery location.

Multi-Item Orders
Estimated delivery is calculated based on the slowest delivery method, some products might arrive sooner than estimated.

For orders with a high quantity of items, we ship directly to the customer and multiple tracking numbers and boxes are to be expected. We do not offer the option of consolidating orders before shipping.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses:

We are currently not shipping to APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking:

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Return Window

Our standard return policy allows customers to return items within 30 days of purchase.

Items must be returned in their original condition with proof of purchase to qualify for a refund or exchange.

Final Sale Products

All products from our NOB (New Open Box) collection are final sale and cannot be returned. However, if a NOB product arrives incorrect or defective, it is not considered final sale andcan be returnedfor a replacement or refund.


Product Condition

The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Products not in the original packaging or previously installed will be rejected, and a refund will not be issued. Please verify fitment before installation.

If your order arrived damaged, please let us know immediately through support@movatik.com. We will require pictures of the product, the damage, any barcode stickers on the product, the box or bag it shipped in, and the shipping label.

A special note about locks: Locks must be returned with all keys and combination locks must be set to all 0s. If the keys are missing from the return or combinations are not set to 0, the return will only qualify for store credit.

Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility in cases where the product was delivered as described, without defects, damage, or errors on our part. We only cover return shipping for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect due to an error on our side. 

For size-related returns, if the size you ordered was delivered correctly, we do not cover the return shipping. We only cover return shipping when an incorrect size was sent due to an error on our part.

We have volume discounts that will provide a discounted shipping rate. If we provide a return label, the cost will be deducted from your refund.

If you use your shipping label, please include your order number in the return package. This is for expediency in processing your return and disbursing a refund. If this is not done, your refund may be delayed until we can find which order the return corresponds to.

Items that require freight shipping will have a higher cost determined by the carrier's rates. In these cases, we will reach out to confirm the return. Items that are shipped by freight include but are not limited to: racks and large bags.

Shipping costs paid by the customer

Shipping costs paid by the customer at purchase are non-refundable.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Processing Refunds

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Rejected Returns

Do not return items that have been used or installed without notifying us first. All used, installed items that we receive without previous notification will be rejected, and no refund will be issued. All products are thoroughly inspected and photographed when received as proof. The customer is responsible for providing postage to recover these products or paying a postage fee for us to ship the product back.

Do not return items after the return window has passed, they will be rejected and no refund will be issued.

Charge Restocking Fee

We reserve the right to charge a 50% restocking fee for all items returned not in new condition. This fee will only apply to all previously installed products or with clear signs of usage.

Return to Customer

Upon request, the product can be shipped back to the customer, at the customer's expense, and no restocking fee will be processed.

Chargebacks

Important! Once a Chargeback has been filed, we are not allowed to issue a refund.

In the event of a Chargeback claim being filed, we will submit all available evidence to the cardholder's bank. Please note that Chargeback claim reviews may take 65 to 75 days after the transaction is made. In a few cases, the review can take longer than 75 days.
