WTB HTZ I35 Bicycle Wheel Rims

E-bikes enhance the riding experience by offering more for less: more distance, more laps, more climbs, and more descents. However, with all those "mores" comes increased weight, which continuously stresses an e-bike's components. To combat this additional wear and tear, WTB designed our HTZ rims to be burlier in every imaginable way, delivering a bombproof solution that doesn't break the bank.

Built for E-Bike Rigors:

• 20% Thicker Everywhere: HTZ rims feature the thickest rim walls WTB offers, engineered for maximum durability to withstand the demands of e-biking.

• I-Beam Support: A proven I-Beam center support drastically increases the strength and rigidity of these tough rims.

• Proudly Overbuilt: Every aspect of the HTZ rim is designed for extreme resilience.

• TCS Solid Strip: Integrated for easier tubeless setup and enhanced puncture protection from broken spokes.

• 35mm Inner Rim Width: Optimized for e-assist trail bikes running 2.6-3.0" tires, providing excellent tire support and profile.

Advanced Product Technology:

• TCS (Tubeless Compatible System): WTB's industry-leading tubeless rim/tire system, designed to international ETRTO and ISO standards for consistent and user-friendly compatibility.

• 6069 Aluminum Alloy: The perfect aluminum alloy for bicycle rims due to its high tensile and fatigue strength, minimal weight, and excellent anti-corrosion properties.

• 4D Angled Spoke Holes: Spoke holes are drilled at an angle to match the natural spoke path between a rim and hub, eliminating binding and lateral loading of nipples to increase wheel durability.

• Sleeved Joint: Rim ends are hydraulically pressed over an extruded aluminum insert that matches the inner cavity of the rim and is further reinforced by industrial epoxy for superior strength.

• Asymmetrical Design: Offset spoke holes create a stronger wheel by placing the holes more in line with the center of the hub, more evenly distributing spoke tension.

• Sloped Rim Valley: Allows the bead of the tire to easily and smoothly move into place during installation and inflation.

• TCS Solid Strip (as mentioned above): Installed between the rim and tubeless tape to prevent tape from sagging at each spoke hole and make tire inflation easier, while also preventing punctures from a broken spoke.

The HTZ i35 and i40 rims are precisely optimized for your e-assist trail bike, ensuring reliable performance no matter how much "more" you demand from your ride.
