What this product does

The RD‑M786‑SGS rear derailleur provides smooth, consistent shifting with a low‑profile Shadow RD+ design that keeps the derailleur tucked away from obstacles. Its clutch mechanism stabilizes the chain to reduce slap and prevent drops, while the long cage supports wide‑range 10‑speed cassettes.

Key Features

• Shadow RD+ Clutch: Reduces chain slap and improves chain stability on rough terrain
• Low‑Profile Design: Prevents derailleur contact with the chainstay and trail obstacles
• Stronger Return Spring: Provides a crisp, responsive shifting feel
• Direct Cable Routing: Minimizes snagging and improves shift consistency
• DYNA‑SYS Optimized: Ensures smooth, seamless shifting transitions across all 10 gears
• Long Cage (SGS): Supports wide‑range cassettes and triple chainring setups

Benefits

• Quieter, more stable drivetrain performance
• Reduced risk of chain drops on aggressive terrain
• Improved shifting precision thanks to enhanced spring tension
