ABUS Taipan Bicycle Helmets

Gravel cycling is more than just a sport—it's a feeling of absolute freedom, where the rules end and the adventure begins. The Taipan gravel helmet is your perfect partner for pure escape, offering maximum flexibility, top performance, and all-day comfort for endless possibilities.

Performance, Comfort, and Flexibility

Whether you're chasing a personal best on a steep climb or rediscovering old trails, the Taipan is engineered for high performance without compromising comfort.

• Lightweight Design: Optimized for sweat-inducing top performance and long rides.

• Superior Ventilation: Features 18 ventilation openings and the Forced Air Cooling system. This clever design connects internal channels to guide incoming air through the helmet, ensuring maximum air circulation and a pleasant head climate.

• Aerodynamic Straps: Flow Straps™ are aerodynamic straps designed for low flow resistance, minimal noise, and high wear comfort.

• In-Mould Durability: The production process creates a durable and robust connection by foaming the inner EPS directly into the outer Polycarbonate (PC) shell.

  • Lower Edge Protection: The PC outer shell covers the lower edge, protecting the helmet against scratches, impacts, and signs of wear and tear.

Safety and Visibility

The Taipan is designed to keep you visible and secure, no matter the time of day.

• Optional Rear Light: A separately available, rechargeable, and magnetic Rear Light attaches easily to the back of the helmet. It uses a USB-C charging cable and significantly enhances visibility in low-light conditions.

• Reflector Sticker: Built-in Reflector Stickers improve visibility in the dark for added safety.

• Acti Cage™ Stability: Foamed-in structural reinforcement (Acti Cage™) provides high stability, allowing for the use of larger, more efficient ventilation openings.

Personalized Fit and Convenience Features

The Taipan feels like a second skin, allowing you to fully indulge in the freedom of your ride.

• Precise and Adaptable Fit: The inner helmet shape is subtly widened to accommodate thicker padding, ensuring a comfortable feel.

• Zoom™ Spin Adjustment System: A rotary wheel at the back of the head allows for individual and precise adjustment of the helmet to your head size.

• Ponytail Fit: The height-adjustable adjustment system includes a thoughtful opening, making the helmet perfectly suitable for long hairstyles, including ponytails, buns, or braids.

• Front Eyewear Port: A defined recess on the front of the helmet provides a secure and aerodynamic holding position for your cycling glasses when you are not wearing them.

• Comfort and Maintenance:

  • Floating Pad: Internal padding clicks into place via multiple attachment points, offering flexible comfort and enhanced ventilation.

  • Removable, Washable Pads: Easily removed for quick hand washing and replacement.

• Push-in Buckle: Equipped with a classic three-pronged chin lock for safe and practical handling.
